City of Trogir was founded by Greek colonists from the island of Vis in the third century BC. Despite leveling and filling around the Fortress tower Kamerlengo, which has reduced the value of the environment, historical complex of Trogir, with Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements, among the Dubrovnik core, is most beautiful on our coast. From individual buildings, single cathedral dominates, and her most famous part is the portal, which Master Radovan built. Trogir is a town-museum and another jewel of Croatia. To spend a few days watching its museums, galleries and architecture, sacred and secular, each visitor who seeks the history and beauty at once will be more than satisfied. The historical core of Trogir is enlisted in the UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites in 1997.
