Zagreb is the capital and the largest city of the Republic of Croatia. It is located in the northwest of the country, along the Sava river, at the southern slopes of the Medvednica mountain. Zagreb is the administrative, economic, cultural, commercial and scientific center of Croatia and at the same time one of the oldest European cities. In 1994 Zagreb celebrated the 900 anniversary of the first written document with his name. Zagreb is a vibrant city of around 800,000 people. The city boasts a charming medieval ‘old city’ with architecture and cobbled streets reminiscent of Vienna, Budapest, Prague and other Central-European capitals. It bacame a popular tourist destination throughout the year.
